Tips on how to create a coastal or nautical table:

  • Stick to a color palette inspired by the ocean and beach, such as shades of blue, sandy beige, and white.
  • Center your coastal or nautical table decor around a specific theme or aspect of the coastal lifestyle. A beachy sandy table, for example, will look much different than a nautical table that centers around life at sea.
  • Use a coastal theme or natural linen table runner or tablecloth as the foundation for your coastal table.
  • Create a table centerpiece with driftwood, rope or shell garland, or beachy candle lanterns, just to name a few.
  • Include some fun coastal place cards.
  • Display a menu board on a weathered wooden board or an oar paddle.
