Paint Terracotta Pots using Beach Stencils

Learn how to paint terracotta pots beach style, using stencils. They are simply delightful!

These terracotta pots can give any space an artistic beachy touch. A hand painted pot would make a great hostess gift too. Or how about as a gift for Mother's Day? You can still pull this off easily! And add some beautiful flowers.

Rhonda of Southern Hospitality takes you through the process step by step. So make sure you head over there for all the details. Here's her bounty of nifty beach stencils from Martha Stewart Crafts™. They're called Nautical Study Laser-Cut Stencils and are sold at Michaels and in other craft stores. And I found them online at Amazon.

I love the colors Rhonda picked to paint the terracotta pots. White with a silver rim which gives them an elegant sophisticated look.

So lovely. And the stencils don't have to be perfect in order to be beautiful. I'd love to have a pot like this in my kitchen or on the balcony!

This is a great idea and so much cheaper than buying one done already. Thanks!

After I read this post, I went and reclaimed the nautical stencils I had set aside for a community garden benefit yard sale this weekend. What was I thinking? That was a close call. I would have had to buy new stencils to pretty up some pots!
