To make air dry clay ornaments is easy:

Simply roll the clay to about ¼ inch thick, cut out circles with Cookie Cutters or shape by hand, then create your sand dollar details. You can be creative here -draw the pattern with a toothpick or press a sand dollar into the clay, make a hole for hanging or insert a little eye screw. Let your sand dollar ornaments dry for at least 24 hours. You can smooth them out with sand paper if you wish, paint them, finish them with a gloss, or leave them as they are for a  Natural Beachy Christmas Look.

These easy air-dry clay sand dollar ornaments are perfect for a beach-inspired Christmas tree. Because sand dollars are simply round shapes with drawn or pressed details -they are one of the easiest coastal ornaments to make!
