Classic Coastal Cottage Decorating

This bright and airy home on Bald Head Island, NC, is a great example for coastal cottage decorating. White painted wood paneling, natural materials and pastel colors give this home a classic coastal cottage look.

A blue door opens into the foyer where you are greeted by a fabulous Driftwood Seahorse.

All the pastel colors look so pretty against the white. They even steered clear of window treatments in the living room to keep it airy. The emphasis is on the view! I love the basket style Coffee Table. Both seahorse and table are available through Outer Banks Trading Group. A mixed bunch of Coastal Pillows sits on the couch, casual as it should be in a cottage like this. Palm Leaves look great in the corner.

And to not interrupt the breezy flow of white, the back of the bookcase is painted in the wall color. Natural Wicker Furniture is a great choice for any coastal cottage.

Distressed accent pieces, including the picture frame, fill this Cottage Bedroom with character. Coastal cottage decorating in white done right! Pictures via Wayfair. And to see how the cottage looked before the owners transformed it into this dreamy abode, Watch the Video over at Coastal Living!

Oooh, what a pretty cottage! I love the white & green & blue colour palette - it's so fresh and beachy :-) I would very happily move in right this minute :-)
