Built in 1869, the cottage is one of the Hot Historic Homes in a section of Oak Bluff that's known for its ornate gingerbread houses. When the owners, designer Tracey Overbeck Stead and her husband, renovated the cottage, they made sure to preserve all its original charm. And they sure did. They also splurged on some Luxury Nautical Items like the Dransfiel & Ross anchor pillow!
I love the dark wood and how the traditional Nautical Decor colors of red, white and blue are complemented with softer pastel colors. And of course I'm loving all the nautical cottage decor accessories. How adorable is the antique ship's wheel chandelier from Shades of Light! The Nautical Rug depicts coastal scenery. I'm pretty sure it's a Claire Murray rug.
One of the nautical cottage decor items you see throughout are sculptures of whales. I adore them, and am so glad that the whaling days are over!
A comfy and colorful nook with a cool Rope side table.
The table here is an antique, and the chair pads have seaside flair.
As you would expect, the bedrooms are super cozy, with an eclectic mix of nautical cottage decor.
Vibrant bathroom tiling and a Clair Murray mermaid rug.
