Let's start with this great Map Canvas Art from Creative Juices Decor. Selina brushed on some glue to canvases and attached cut out map pieces, then put Mod Podge over the top. And she added character by aging the edges!

Kristin of Domestic Ease was given some old National Geographic maps and created a Map Decoupage Dresser with them. She applied a thin coat of Mod Podge, then positioned the paper. Great way to Make over a Dresser or any kind of Furniture Piece!

Decorative letters have become very trendy. Francine made hers with a paper mache letter bought at the craft store. Same decoupage drill -brush on glue or Mod Podge, adhere paper, then apply a coat of glue on top. For more details, click here!

I have a few DIY Lampshades, so I'm partial to this Map Decoupage Shade from Pretty Handy Girl.

And check out Barbara's Tray Makeover at DIY Home Staging Tips. Trick -iron the fold lines in the map flat!

Deb of Sage and Sepia transformed a few plain white magazine holders with map decoupage. After painting them blue, she glued old nautical charts on the front and inside back. They are now holding a collection of sailing magazines.

And I saved the easiest map idea for last. Map Decoupage Coasters from Martha Stewart. Let me know if you have a favorite!

OMG! I love maps ideas, so was excited about this post. Imagine my surprise to see MY map boxes featured! Thank you so much. And now I have more map ideas. I'm covering clipboards and will do some with maps.
Maps are a perfect paper - great colors, text, lines, and often, free!
Great roundup of ideas, Maya! I'm working on a map project myself today -- they just speak to me (especially the ones with water!). Thanks for sharing!

These globe ideas are so cute!!! LOVE the coaster idea, i think that will be my next diy project, ...Whats a good coating to use to make sure the paper doesnt get wet?
Love the dresser and the letter ... and pretty much all the rest.
Fabulous. Thanks.

I just ADORE maps and would love a dresser with those drawers, so cool! But I barely have any furnishings since we tend to move a lot for work. oh well, I still love getting inspired over here.

I love maps too. My problem is finding them. If anyone has any ideas where I can find them cheap, I'm all ears.
Love 'em all... but the letter is my favorite. I'll try to make it, thanks for sharing!
