If you're a surfer in the Northern Hemisphere you might soon want to take your board inside! But whether you're surfing or not, I think a beautiful surfboard can give a room a great beachy feel.

Kerry Joyce who also designed this spectacular Bathroom with Display Ledges for Shells finds just the right spot on the ceiling...

and leans one against a wall, the most common and easiest way to add a surfboard to your decor (or store it in your home). This image is from Habitually Chic where you can find many more surf style interiors (as always please click on images to go to the source).

Leslie Klotz pairs a yellow colored surfboard with an antique painted chest that belonged to her grandmother.

Designer and blogger Brooke Giannetti finds the perfect corner in her newly remodeled living room.

And Annie Selke was given three keywords -sea, sand, and sky- to design this Chatham, MA, beach house. The result, an eclectic home bathed in blues that includes a surfboard table.
And how could I not think about The Beach Boys while writing this post..., if everybody had an ocean across the USA, then everybody be surfin'..., surfin' USA...

Oh, I love the surfboard table!! So cute:)
And I love the woodies with the vintage boards!!! Makes me want to learn how to surf~
Oh....we have them inside...along with an assortment of body boards, skim boards...sand...sand...sand.
Woooden surf boards are terribly sexy :)
Ooh I LOVE this post. I don't surf, but hope to one day. In an ocean that is guaranteed to be shark-free. That's my fear of surfing: sharks. Ugh. But I love surfboards in houses - we have a couple in my parents beach house and they're so cool. I love that room in Chatham - I went there a couple of years ago! Such a cool town!
Great post! Great video!
I almost bought a surf board once at the swap meet in Hawaii...I regret not getting it.
Oh Maya
The beach boy photo is fab!!

What a perfect accent for any beach house. Takes me back to my youth, but my mother would never have let us bring boards in the house. We brought in enough sand ourselves!
I love seeing surfboards inside! It is so coastal cool!
Oh, I love this. Have always wanted to add a surfboard to our home decor but my hubby won't let me take his boards out of their bags! Our ring bearer in our wedding carried a woody with surfboards and the rings on top of the board.
a perfect blog post to wrap up the week!!!
