Home Decorating with Nautical Red is energetic and fun..., and it can be temporary too, with a flower bouquet that almost steals the show.

Small touches of red in an entryway.

The Chinese consider red the color of happiness and good luck.

Happy lounging with a red throw (in a fabulous chair).

And no living room is complete without pillows...

...so home decorating with red pillows it is, as well as other red accent pieces.

Pops of red here and there that draw attention.

And a colorful piece of art with red brings a playful element to this otherwise very calm arrangement. And more decorating with red...

...with furniture pieces..., chairs, dressers...

... and sofa seats.

Or try a red rug, here the stage for a room with a tropical twist.

And red Wall Paper for an accent wall.

Then, taking the home decorating with red theme outdoors...

... with nautical signal flags and other accent pieces that set the mood for a relaxing time on the porch.

great inspiration photos! love the accents of red in each room - the red adds a nice pop to the crisp white and blue schemes.

I love red! It's throughout much of my house, sometimes with blue, sometimes with cream, sometimes with celery or avocado green. Great pics!
I love the photos you chose for this post! We bought a red carpet for our mostly navy and white den/office -- frankly only because it was on MAJOR sale...and now I'm loving it, and the way it adds a "pop" of unexpected color.
