This creates a freestanding word like "RELAX," "BEACH," or "SURF" that you can hang with a few tiny nails or adhesive putty.
Materials
Jute rope, sisal rope, or cotton rope
White glue (Elmer's or wood glue)
Cornstarch
Water
Wax paper or parchment paper
Method
Write your word on parchment paper as a template.
Mix:
1 bottle white glue
½ cup cornstarch
¼ cup water
Soak the rope in the mixture.
Squeeze off excess glue.
Lay the rope over the template and shape the word.
