This stately elegant Maine Home sits right by the beach in Kennebunkport.
Decorated in blue nautical decor by designers Nicki Bongiorno and Louise Hurlbutt, this Maine home features sea life motifs, boat inspired designs and some cool rope wrapped furnishings.
The large ocean painting in the blue living room is by Canadian artist Frances Lipari, and of course I'm partial to the Seahorse Diptych (link leads you to the one I had in my old apartment).
The kitchen was designed to suggest the prow of a Ship.
A turret room with a ceiling made of cherry. The rope knot table lamp and the Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams chairs are from Hurlbutt Designs in Kennebunk.
The master bedroom with grand views of the Beach. The built-in platform bed has Harbor Island Bedding from Matouk. The Wicker Chair was Repainted by Hurlbutt Designs, who added a custom chair cushion.
In another bedroom, nautical themed linens by Eastern Accents were used.
In the Bathrooms, designer Nicki Bongiorno let the colors of the ocean direct the palette. In this airy bathroom she picked glass tiles that reminded her of sea glass.
Nautical Porthole lights illuminate the stairs.
An octagonal screened porch with a mantel made with a salvaged wood that came from an old house in the neighborhood that was torn down. And guess what the custom coffee table is made of? A ship's-hatch!
And a great place to sit outside is around the Fire Pit. To sea more of this blue nautical decorated home, head over to Maine Home Design.
