As of today, Fall season is official here in the Northern Hemisphere! To celebrate I've rounded up all kinds of Fall decorating ideas -including making and decorating pumpkins! I'm still savoring the warm temps though, but I know for some of you Fall couldn't come soon enough..., so let's see what I found, beginning with Joy's
Fall Decorating idea of simply adding leaves. You can buy faux leaves or wait for the real ones to
Fall on your lawn -that's what I do! Last year I used leaves for a
Centerpiece. And not to forget my
Fall Decorating with Pressed Leaves -coastal style!

A lovely vignette at

And I found the cutest
DIY Fabric Pumpkin topped with a shell at The Charm of Home.

You only need one single starfish to beachify a Fall wreath! Seen at
French Country Cottage.

This dried floral design sold at
Outer Banks Trading Group fits right into the Fall decorating theme. I'd love to see this idea done with a driftwood piece. If you're a regular, then you know how much I love
Driftwood!

Lofts of people seem to favor white pumpkins this year. Aren't they just perfect for a light and bright beach style home, like Kristy's
Starfish Cottage in Florida!

Then, a superb fabric pumpkin that smells of lavender! Rosemary calls her creations
Sea Lavender Pumpkins, using hand dyed silk velvet in shades of the sea along with silk ribbons and lace, filling them with dried lavender buds. And this one has a driftwood stem too!

A beautiful
Fall Cloche. See, one starfish suffice.

I adore this!
Decorating a Pumpkin in a wave pattern with upholstery tacks. No carving or painting. How to? Make a wave stencil out of kraft paper, attach it to the pumpkin with pins, trace the design around the entire pumpkin, then fill the lines with basic black upholstery tacks. Would look awesome on a white pumpkin too!

I went beachcombing in the archives..., and still love this fun
Pumpkin Shell from
1022 Seashell Ave.

I think grapevine wreaths are the best wreaths to use throughout the year and switch out decor for different seasons. You simply attach things with thin wire. For Fall decorating, arrange leaves, then tuck in a few shells. This
Fall Wreath is sold on Etsy by Beachy Wreaths.

And lastly, thoughts on Fall decorating from designer Jennifer of
Gracious Spaces who posted this on her
Facebook page:
How do you introduce the fall season into a beachy room? That question has been on my mind as fall approaches. My kitchen & den are easily changed with the seasons but my living room is filled with whites, blues, & browns along with beachy decor. I decided to make a few changes to the mantle only & keep everything else with the same.
If you struggle with the same question then consider using silver, gold, burlap, pinecones, acorns, faux fruit, or earthy natural tones as accents. You don't have to decorate with bright orange & red if those colors don't work with your decor. No one will send the decorating police after you (well, probably not).
I added a couple silver pumpkins (40% off at Michaels - about $3.50 total), a little burlap, & an old white berry wreath that I added some orange berries to from last year. I weaved these items into my beachy creamware display for a little fall touch.
Thanks Jennifer for sharing!
And one more thing. Have fun with food!! "And in the autumn, I would make spice cakes in little ramekins..." This is Lili of Fearless Nesting speaking. You might want to revisit

Happy Weekend, Everyone!
