Nights in Rodanthe House Update

Nights in Rodanthe House Vacation Rental
Okay, a long overdue update on the "Nights in Rodanthe House" via Island Free Press. Remember, the movie house had to be moved (see here), which was done successfully back in January/February. Then the new owners renovated the home.

"I spotted its blue shutters from the road! Ben and Debra have done a tremendous job renovating and restoring Serendipity to its movie-exterior glory. They have added the famed blue shutters, decks and gazebos, and have decided to call it The Inn at Rodanthe", says Laura (in her post The Inn at Rodanthe) who checked out the house while vacationing in the Outer Banks in June.

And the inside was decorated with the movie (staring Diane Lane and Richard Gere) in mind too -although the interior scenes weren't actually filmed in the house.

Oh I can't wait to show this to my husband. As I've told you before that stretch of beach has a special meaning to us and the book and that house just added to it once we read it while we were staying there. I'm so pleased to see someone loving on this house. I have some great photos of it before this move and reno that I'll send to you sometime.
Can't wait for my next visit to see it.

We were there last week and the house was moved and unfortunately they did some renovations that altered the home somewhat and now has a driveway that leads up to it. The home is still beautiful and special and it gave us chills just being there and it was our 32nd anniversary.

Just checked out the slideshow -- OMG, the dusk shots are amazing!! And love the blue shutters :-) And the view from the deck is to die for!!

It's so cool that the new owners replicated the interior of the house from the movie.

OMG, I have watched that movie about 50 times just for the inn! I turn it off as soon as Richard Gere leaves, because without the inn, I just don't care.
I would love to see that house in person!
