Easy DIY Sand Dollar Cookies

I love beachy cookies! They look so pretty and make great decorations for the table! And sand dollar cookies must be the easiest cookies to make, especially when using Pillsbury dough.

To use your beautiful cookies for decorating, spread them out on a nice serving plate, or to add even more beachiness, serve them up in a Beach Pail. I also love the idea of surprising guests with a pretty cookie on their plate! You can find the recipe for these sand dollar cookies here!

Pam of I Love Shelling baked over a hundred sand dollar cookies, using a Pillsbury cookie recipe.

Behind this simple Cookie Recipe is Susan of Entertain Exchange. While I prefer to bake with whole wheat flour, you just can't beat how easy these are to make.

Pillsbury cookie dough
All you need is refrigerator Pillsbury sugar cookie dough and a bag of slivered almonds.

Cute cookies. Unfortunately I can't find the almond pieces locally-I wanted them for another recipe. It would go good with my coastal theme. I sent you an email. The Bavarian Christmas linky party is now open-won’t you come and join us at http://dobermans-by-the-sea.blogspot.com/2010/11/1st-christmas-linky-party-at-dobermans.html

I saw Pam's post. And the original Daily Vitamin Sea post. Sorry it is phasing out. I really loved it!!! I am going to try these over the holidays.

You can dust them with cinnamon sugar before baking to emulate sand, too :-)

I thought these were cute when you posted them before and I still do! Now I want to know why Pam didn't send some over my way via sea gulls, lol.
