Reclaimed Rope Art | Ocean Trash Art

Here is what you can do with rope that washes up on the shore.

Ocean Trash Framed Rope Art
Use ocean trash rope to create art like Harborside Upcycled does. They recycle fishing and lobster trap rope found on the beaches of Massachusetts. These ocean trash ropes are cleaned, rinsed, and sun dried and turned into framed art.

Even just lining up ocean trash rope can have a great visual effect, looking rustic and beautiful. Seen on Flickr.

Reclaimed Rope Art
Rope art made out of reclaimed rope from the lobster and crab fisheries by Art Maree Haute (Instagram).

And here's a woman who turns ocean trash into art. Pam Longobardi has created several installations with rope. Her favorite place to collect? Hawaii. "It’s this wild land mass that catches a lot of the ocean's garbage," she says. Original source at Coastal Living is no longer available.
