Ikea Mirror Hacks with Shells, Driftwood & Seaglass

Buy an Inexpensive Mirror from Ikea and decorate it with shells, driftwood, and seaglass.

These are all Ikea Malma mirror hacks. Unfortunately, they no longer seem to sell these mirrors, but you can glue shells, driftwood and seaglass to any frame, as well as to glass itself if you purchased a frameless mirror. Using the right glue is the trick. Try the clear gorilla glue!

I found this lovely minimal seashell embellished Ikea mirror at iVillage.

Ikea Mirror Makeover
Gorgeous Ikea mirror makeover via Beachwood Place. Here the entire Malma mirror frame was covered with seashells.

Painted Driftwood Ikea Mirror. Simple and adorable. The bright blue color gives this Malma mirror a beachy pizzazz.

And an Ikea Shell Mosaic Mirror that features a beautiful mosaic design. The great thing about the Ikea Malma mirrors, besides the price, is that they are on the smaller side. So it's a really doable project. You could also create a composition of two, three, or four mirrors. Sand the mirrors lightly before hot-gluing on your treasures.

And here's my try, using seaglass pieces I collected around the edge of two Ikea Malma mirrors. I might leave them this minimal or build on the design. If you try this (or any other DIY Project posted here on Completely Coastal), I'd love it if you shared your craft on my Facebook Page -simply upload a picture.
