Seashell Inspired Window Treatments

With Spring in the air windows open..., and I have window treatments on my mind...

... and interior designer Donna Elle has created a beachy line of fabrics, home decor accessories and seashell inspired window treatments...

... that includes a wonderful collection of resin seashells and starfish that I just love. You can attach them to your existing drapery rods...

... or use them for swag window treatments...

... or simple tie backs...

... available online @ Outer Banks Trading Group or a Retail Store near You..., or use these ideas as an inspiration for a do it yourself project. HGTV has some instructions on how to hot glue shells onto curtain rods and tiebacks.

Fun ideas for adding more shells to our beach cottages.

Have been cruising the internet for decorations and menus for Easter on the beach. Not the usual combination but the way we like to live.

I love the curtain rod with the stars. Many years ago I bought yards and yards of thin muslin and I painstakingly sewed hundreds of different sized seashells all over it. The effect was amazing. The pinks, blues and various other hues gave it a charm that I loved. I had it up for six months but then gave the two sets to my best friend because she admired them so much. She still has them!

My dream is to have my master bedroom done like that again. It's currently done in mid-century decor which I adore but I'm ready for another change! LOL!

I love the use of shells, this gives me a idea for the basked of shells that sit under my table.
