A Victorian Nautical Home Built by a Sea Captain

This Victorian nautical home is a great example of classic nautical decor mixed with beachy decorations.

Victorian nautical home
Not that I would want this kind of square footage, but this nautical Victorian delivers lots of nautical decorating inspiration.

nautical living room
The home was built by a Sea Captain in the mid-1800s and was brought back to its original beauty in 2006. It's located in Maine and known as the Big Pink. For more details go to Simply Home. Here you see a corner of the living room. Open, airy, great architectural details, dark wood and classic nautical accessories such as a porthole-esque mirror, a model ship and a search light. All evoking the spirit of exploration and unlimited possibilities.

nautical living room inspiration
The library. Here I see inspiration for a cozy nautical living room. The beach is prominently represented with a Sea Life Rug, chairs and pillows in a coral pattern, as well as a small collection of shells on the coffee table. It's a good mix of light and dark colors.

nautical sitting room
A casual sitting area. Maybe this is the man cave.

nautical kitchen
Nice kitchen island. Browse all Coastal & Nautical Rugs.

nautical dining room
A formal dining room.

beachy bedroom
Perfectly beachy, with elements that tie into the nautical style, such as the dark wood chair and a Lamp Inspired by Glass Floats with Netting.

nautical bathroom
And a wow factor with Clarence House La Mer Wallpaper. I wouldn't change a thing in this charming nautical bathroom. I'm loving the knot board as wall decor too, it "ties" it all together!
