Greetings from New Zealand - We operate a holiday letting company - We love naming a bach (pronnced batch - new zealand term for holiday home) to give it own identity - we find it fun naming them over a few glasses of wine

Each bach we name we try and give it a story to represent something to do with the owner or bach etc

I loved my father-in-law's name of his house that was across the road from the Atlantic Ocean in FLORIDA...he called it the "Sea Gem"
and we miss him since he is gone. We did sell the home and we miss it, too. But that name and the memories will live on forever in my mind.

My Galveston house is named Little Caper, because I love all of the Cape Cod homes. As well as Cape Cod, itself. Galveston is not at all like Cape Cod, but that's okay. Little Caper always reminds me of CC.
