It seems you want to hang your oars exactly like the ones in the picture with the life saver! You are right, they will not hang flush on the wall..., I've never hung mine, and that picture unfortunately doesn't show..., they might have been attached onto the wall like the oar shown right bellow that picture. Does anyone have any ideas on how to hang them vertically? My Sailor husband's last unit made him an oar with his ribbons and warfare devices and I'd like to display it, but they are all vertical. Best mounting hardware for oars?

There are so many different ways to hang oars. I figure the easiest would be to use curtain rod brackets if you hang them horizontal. Or I'd go to the local hardware store and see what I could use. My oars are leaning in the corner, so I can't recommend any specific hardware. I hope this helps a little -thanks for your visit!

Seems like your blog is ok. It looked ok when I came over. Anyway, love the oars. I have snow shoes above my bed from my B that he had from his childhood home in alaska. I also have used my lacrosse sticks for decoration. They are not exactly nautical but for some reason they still look kinda beachy to me. Maybe it is the wood.
