I have a shell collection my Mom started in the 30's. The most important ones to us I keep on a open shelf in my china cabniet. It has her shells, a photo of her at Big Sur in the 40's, and driftwood pieces she collected. I just (finally!!) took all of my Christmas ornaments out of the glass jars around the house so time to break out the shells again. Maybe it'll warm me up to have a piece of the beach back in the house (brrrr! it's cold at the shore house...)

Those shells are lovely. When I was out in San Diego last fall, there was an entire wall of shell, each divided into its own little individual sandscape in the airport of all places! How great to show that idea for accessories. <BR/><BR/>Jane F., Atticmag

The possibilities are endless! I have some in a glass jar, some on a small antique pewter plate, and some in a wooden pedestal bowl. No room in my house is complete without a shell or two!
