I don't pay too much attention to fashion trends, but am happy to learn that Classic Nautical Stripes are in for 2011! Key to this year's take on nautical stripes is that they dominate the outfit, says Marie of Sally Lee by the Sea. I love my stripes (see My Facebook Profile) and check out Striped Sailor Shirts!

Actress Ellen Burstyn wearing a shell necklace in the movie According to Greta...

... which reminds me of Patti Anderson's beautiful Beach Jewelry Collection
and Seaphemera's stunning real Seashell Necklace.

I retired my beachy cookie cutters after discovering that I'm more of a pie and banana bread person.

Tying The Monkey Fist is still on my to do wish list.
Gina on the other hand creates them and sells them in her Etsy store! Check out Gina's Beach Combing post that she shared on Coastal Blog Posts Linkup 2010 -two more days to link up yours!

A fun Beach Bed for dogs...

Well, I for one am thrilled about the stripes. I love navy and white in almost any application.
Also the pelican picture is awesome!
What's not to love about stripes. They fit in with so many styles. Thanks so much for adding my tiny bath to your list!
I love that puppy and bed :)
Love the stripes! At my age I would be wearing pants though, but how cute she looks in that shirt/dress! Great idea for using tealights with shells and your coastal cookie cutters Maya! Sometimes those cutters make such huge cookies anyway. ~Lili
You will feel very proud of yourself after you do a monkey fist knot! don't give up on that dream! Do we get an Eagle Scout badge if we actually make one?! LOL
I love everything...and looked at some of the jewelry! I found out that one of the ladies is nearby...the seashell necklace! Oh, I love it! My hubby went to the paint store to choose our shade of blue for my bathroom today! I can't wait to get it painted a slate blue...the color is smoky blue! Thanks for the inspiration bathrooms! ♥
Maya, thanks for featuring my pelican photo! Nothing like being in the right place at the right time WITH a camera handy!!

Thanks for sharing these great coastal inspirations! And I wear stripes all the time, even horizontal ones...which of course is a Glamour Don't!! But I don't care...I love stripes.

You may like to check it out because I had so much fun doing it. It's got a bit of everything fashion, interiors, food, travel spots - hopefully you will find something in there that you like.
Thanks for providing me with such great entertainment!

hi Maya,
thanks so much for featuring my coastal canines! I really appreciate you being such a great beachy friend. I was scrolling thru the post and was thinking WOW the boys would love that bed, when I saw Newman's sweet face in the next pic.
Thanks again.
