It is made of wood. What a fun shabby and easy to make wall hanging for inside or out.

Her tree was inspired by Ingrid from the Netherlands who created a series of small Wood Wall Christmas Trees made out of 6 different planks, painted in different colors. The planks are glued to a middle piece to which you attach a string in the back, then you simply screw small hooks in the "branches" and hang all your ornaments!
For the details visit Pru at Flotsam Friends -she's currently having a giveaway too!! Here she is assembling her wood wall Christmas tree under the sunny Australian sky.

Well now this is just too clever. This may have to go in the "next year" file. I love the one with the shells!
Very clever idea..it is beachy and shabby chic, would age beautifully.
Happy Creating.

Very unique and different. Cute.
I love this look and sometimes I find painted boards washed up on shore that would add to the shabby charm. And oh to look so elegant while crafting as Pru does in that shot. ~Lili

Clever and colorful! I'd like to try one someday.
Shellbelle, I'm doing the same thing :-) Pru inspires me too, I love the colors of her tree.
What a fun and easy way to create a unique Christmas tree :-) I can also see one of these trees with the pieces of wood wrapped in different pieces of Christmas wrapping paper.

Too bad you haven't had a chance to bake yet - but I bet your coastal cookie cutters look great with the tea lights :-) If you have time, check out the cookies everyone baked - they all turned out great! :-)
