A Nautical Guest Bedroom

nautical guest bedroom makeover before and after
A Nautical Guest Bedroom Makeover by Kim of Savvy Southern Style. Inspired by decorating magazines and catalogues, Kim said good by to the baby blue walls in her guest bedroom...

... and created a fun nautical retreat with a neutral grey as the backdrop color. Vintage Swimsuits -Wear or Wall? Clearly Kim can answer this question with wall! The only thing she wishes is that she had invested in non glare glass. The Lighthouse on the nightstand is perfect.

Like me, Kim loves Pillows, so she layered a few, incorporating a bench cushion into the mix.

nautical bedding from ebay
And the place that she has been able to find great prices on bed linens for her nautical guest bedroom is Ebay. Every piece of bedding on this bed was bought on Ebay except the small lifesaver pillow in the front, she says..., and it's all Pottery Barn.

And do you remember my Kitchen Remodel? Well, it's been featured on the very cool and popular blog Remodelaholic here: White Kitchen and Ikea Island Before and After! If you love to be wowed by room transformations and all kinds of makeovers, you find them there!!

Awesome redo! I love the gray walls-- so much more sophisticated, but the nautical theme keeps it casual.

Love the gray walls - I always wanted to paint my room that color, but no one else believed that it would look so nice!

Maya - love your white kitchen - so fresh and clean looking. And - a bench cushion on a bed? What a great idea! I always learn something useful here!
