I think it looks great, but as much as I love the bold pattern, I ponder whether I'd be drawn into the ocean's abyss by the giant sea creatures! So, I don't see myself in this room.

Love that fabric with the black and orange accents. "I could see myself in that room" ;) I just don't like the black zig zag screen.
While I don't see myself in this room I'd couldn't help but notice how great the upholstery is on those chairs. Look how the shells and coral match up. Well done!

I like the items but it is too much for me. I like more of a subtle touch of coastal flair here and there. I like the art pieces the best.
Well, I like the white walls, the floors & the rug ;-)
Bold & modern doesn't draw me in, can't see myself in the room either.
It isn't my style. But I can see where some would like it.

The print on the chairs is too much for me! I love the big paintings but would have chosen a neutral or smaller print for the chairs! Beautiful room with lots of light! ♥
I like it but without the screen to the left. I think we need to see the WHOLE room to really know, because our eyes may travel to less busy areas of the room as well...balancing things a bit. Thanks for asking!!

Love the chairs, pillows and rug. I could see myself in this room, but I'd change the art and get rid of the screen. I like the boldness.

I like the chairs but I don't like the room. The chairs emit the coastal theme without going over the top because they are mostly neutral. The screen and paintings are too much for this room though. There is nowhere for the eye to focus. I think these chairs would do much better where they are the focal point in the room and the stuff around them isn't so bold.
The best part of this room are the accessories. Is that coral on the floor? Otherwise, too bold for my beach cottage! This is going to be fun Maya! xoRoberta

What a great idea for a post, this is fun!!! Love the upholstery but a bit over the top for my taste, I am just not into thematic rooms except for Kids rooms and those can be fun!! Kathysue
I think you've got a great idea here. I like looking at this room, but I'm not sure I'd want to live in it. I'd like the fabric on the chairs as pillows though.
I like the fabric, but I learned the hard way that I don't live well with busy patterns, even if they are shells!
I like the chairs, but I think you'd want the rest of the room to be more neutral. And the zigzag screen thing wouldn't survive ten minutes with my six year old son.
Hey Maya, How fun! I love the room although I can see my husband freaking out at just the thought of giant seashells on those nice chairs!
I can see my self there for sure - especially if it is a room on vacation or in my Island home ;)

Too Many Shells...it reminds me of a neighbor's love of Palm Trees on her lamps, dishes,artwork,rugs,bedding,towels,upholstery,
knicknacs even salt & pepper shakers!

I really like looking at it, but I don't see myself living with it daily. But this ... was fun!

I think the artwork and accessories are great for this room, but the large print upholstery, while beautiful, makes the room feel too busy. Perhaps of the upholstery print were in a smaller scale or more subltle colors?
