Drape a decorative fish net over your tablecloth and you immediately have a nautical tablescape. So easy and effective! You can then add a few shells to complete the look, and done. The designer behind this tablescape, Susie Caliendo. And I'm quite surprised actually how well the fish net tablescape idea works in a traditional dining room.

Click image to purchase the fish net from Save on Crafts, also featured in the category Online Stores.

Then, I wanted to show you Pottery Barn's interpretation of decorative fish net too, which is made of loosely woven twine. I don't know about you but I definitely prefer the authentic version from Save on Crafts, it costs much less too.

I LOVE it! Bravo bravo!
LOVE it! :)
Authentic nets are great especially if you find an old one and clean it up....It is hard if the knots are large to get things to sit evenly though
I love this idea! The tablecloth looks like the one I have on my table right now! This would be a perfect touch! ♥
I've done this before for one of my pirate-themed birthdays... it's very pretty!

Great idea to use the fishnet. I love this tablescape. Everything looks perfect. I also love that you took inspiration from an expensive tablescape then made it your own.

Love this tablescape & the blue stemware.
great looking!
Maya, thank you for your comment and for providing a link for restaurant recommendations. That was very nice of you. I see you provided a link to Sav-on Craft in this post and a couple days ago I had written a post highlighting them also but for their lighting. Funny I thought. Small world. :) My niece and I are looking to your blog for her wedding inspiration. She loves the look of the fishnet for her cake table. Thanks again. :) xoxo
Those are so pretty! I love the blue scalloped plate chargers in the first images, and the snail house bottle cooler in the second is so much fun!
Lovely table. The net really helps to pull the whole theme together. You have so many details of shells and th centerpiece. Thanks for sharing.
That is great, I just love it! My luck I would snap the net and it would all topple down, if you can't catch a fish...you may catch a klutz.
very lovely table.
Love the net idea as tablescape!!! Thanks for sharing

I discovered Save-on Crafts, too (and thought I was the only one!). I can finds things there on-line to "re-interpret" Crate and Barrel at an affordable price. Your fish net tablecloth is a darling idea. I also love the teal and turquoise globes at the opening of your blog -- when I saw them, I smiled and knew a great tablescape was in store -- like reading the opening line of a book and knowing it's going to be good! Thanks so much.
What a great idea! And I love the authentic one and the tablescape is gorgeous! ~Lili
