Tanya lives on Germany's North Sea coast and emailed me some time ago just to say hello. Go to her site Manu Natura and you'll see amazing driftwood art, furniture and lighting. I think her driftwood fish, made with two sticks, has zen quality.
Yalos Alanya is from Istanbul. He adds more detail to his various driftwood fish. I think I browsed his blog for hours. Driftwood in Yalos hands comes alive as little people and animals and finds new expression in so many other shapes and forms...
... here is one of his driftwood enhanced mirrors.

Tanya also shapes Letters with the small pieces she finds. Also a great and easy (enough) driftwood crafts idea!

Maine artist Michael Flemming has a background as a carpenter and his Driftwood Art is mostly large scale. Wonderful wall pieces, sculptures and one a kind furniture, and his website Designs Adrift is beautiful.
Artist Emily Hesse from Great Britain makes these unique shelves, and you can see more of her lovely driftwood art and crafts on her website Green Point Designs.

Julia of Julia's Driftwood is also from the United Kingdom. She lives in beautiful Cornwall and crafts super cute driftwood cabinets.
Not only letters..., but driftwood numbers too! Again, one of Yalos's driftwood art pieces.

I'm so inspired now to do some driftwood art and crafts myself..., and hope to find the pieces to make this Driftwood Anchor, also from Manu Natura.

I like the mirror!
Love it all, especially the fish! How cute and clever!
My last trip to the beach I was on a driftwood search. I think I need to wait until the summer sun bleaches everything out.
This is some really beautiful stuff...some people are just soo talented.
I love your blog.

LOVE those (and your header pic too!). I just did a post on some beach finds too!
I don't see any driftwood in my beach, but I've started collecting seashells. Your blog has been an inspiration. Just stopping by to wish you a happy Easter Maya!

So cool
Very creative ideas! Last monsoon season, that's when we have lots of driftwoods here,my husband, daughter and I found lots of them. I went online looking for ideas and one of them was the fish. But not the ones you posted, something similar. We made 3 and they look cute! Thanks for sharing other ideas that we can use(we still have some leftovers!)
These are awesome. I always love finding pieces that look like birds and also the pieces that make the perfect driftwood Santas I do for Christmas every year.
Something special about them.
Thanks for sharing these artist.
Wonderful
Finding the right pieces can be a challenge but that is part of the fun
I love the simplicity of these projects. all I need is the driftwood! I am keeping an eye out. Happy weekend!
Lots of inspiration here...and I know just the place to find a few pieces of driftwood. That anchor caught my eye too Maya! ~Lili

I love all of these driftwood ideas! So pretty!! I'd love to find enough to surround a small mirror someday...
Blessings,

inspiring. i actually have a small bag of driftwood pieces that i, um, bought, recently. this gives me a few ideas on what to do when it. i love the artist carpenter's interpretation of the large square driftwood 'twigs'. loved that one.
Great ideas!!! Now I have an idea of what I should do with some of my driftwood...
WooHoo!!!
Smiles,
Jane (artfully graced)
Amazing to me how creative minds see a piece of twisted driftwood as a fish, tree, lobster, etc. I am inspired by their vision.
yum!
Love all of them!

what makes the sails on the boats?? (white thing)
I'm loving the anchor!
Taylor:
It looks like Yalos used something else than fabric for the driftwood boats you see in this weeks header -perhaps sturdy paper. I don't know. I think I'll do a post about all the different ways these can be made!
Thanks for stopping by!
The sails are made from genuine goat-skin parchment... Many greetings from Alanya,
YALOS, Christiane
Those fish are to die for and as for that house number... I love it!! I'm going to try that one as we are finally having our house painted... Well, I think anyway... At the moment it's pale blue and white... Should I change it that's the question... Pxxx
such simple ideas, some people are just so artistic, thanks for sharing. I will look at driftwood a bit differently now
