An update on my dining room. This is how it used to look like, see here.
But once we put the carpet in, the white curtains didn't make sense anymore (to me). They needed to match one of the colors in the rug (I thought).
And this is how the dining room really looks! It's the home of my laptop. Now tell me, where is your computer station?

The yellow curtains look really good in that space! I too use our dining room table for my laptop, or a kitchen counter (we have stools on the family room side of the counter to sit on).
I love it! And I love the staged and real photos - perfect. So lucky - a new kitchen?! Can't wait to see the photos. My computer is behind our couch in our family room. Not very glamorous, but functional!
I love the new curtains! The color is perfect and brings out the colors in your beautiful rug and the wood tones of the table! Great choice, and being a bargain never hurts!

Hmm...well, it tends to be either on my lap in the living room chair or on my bed. I know...bad. I have a perfectly perfect desk, but I like to be comfy.
I like the way the curtains warmed the room...the white may be a nice change in warmer months. Both are very nice.

My "office" is in the kitchen. I can work on the computer,help the kids with homework and cook all at the same time! My desk is from IKEA and I can close it up and hide the work-it doesn't seem to get closed too often.

For me, the laptop lives next to my big comfy chair in the living room.
I really like your coastal home. Gorgeous what you do with it. I think yellow goes well with the blues of the water. My computer station is in my "open to the verandah den" with views of blue/green sea and the hills with homes across the bay.
I love the warm yellow curtains. Everything looks so neat and tidy. I have a studio in my house with my computer, art table, craft table, bookcases, television and such. I even have a small fridge, a toaster and a microwave. I swear I live in this space! I really need to get a life you know. lol

Your new curtains really warms the space up. Right now I am in the living room half watching tv and half blogging. My laptop "floats" between dining room table, couch and bed. LOL

Wow! What a difference the yellow curtains make. It really warms up the room. My computer is in a small room I use as my home office and pantry.

I love the new look! They both look great though. My computer station is on my lap as I sit on my couch or sometimes in bed (thank goodness for wireless)! I keep my printer in the closet and I have to bring it out every time I need it.
