I love them all as well...especially crazy #2. Could you imagine being under that overhang if it broke from the weight. Buoys are great and they add so much whimsy to a home!! Enjoy your day!! xOxO Nerina :)
Hello, can you say...reinforced porch! The weight of those things Wow. I like the individual beauty of 1 or a small collection. But love the spirit of those who are out of the box like that. T
Photo #1 was taken by me and you have it hotlinked from my blog (in other words, you're using my bandwidth to post it here). I am a photographer living in North Pole, Alaska and I took that photo in Homer Alaska, while traveling throughout the state.
We have quite a few homes in our coastal towns that use buoys for outside decor. I love them too.
I did notice, however, that you cropped out my copyright information. If you're going to use my photograph in your blog, please put my copyright info back on the image.
Susan - You have nothing to worry. I am not using your bandwidth. I saved your image on my computer then uploaded it on my blog, then linked the image to your page (as I do with all images).
Thank you for putting my copyright back on the photo. I also want to apologize for my tone in my email about the bandwidth. The day I wrote that, I had found four other places on the web where my photos had been hotlinked and I was feeling a bit aggravated. I realized afterwards that you weren't hotlinking to the photo itself, but merely providing a link back to my blog. Thank you for that.
The second photo is from my blog -- http://2bnMaine.com/blog.
It was taken at a spectacular spot in mid-coast Maine and captures some of the humor found in this beautiful state. I should have posted their view as well to give a more complete picture.
The photo will be available as a postcard or greeting card soon from the website.

#2 is looking a little like a boil, but hey, whatever floats their buoy!
Wowza! And how could you not love crazy #2? ;-) I actually really love the shot you're using in your blog header. Fabulous.
The second one is a little too much for me personally but I love the look of buoys!
