My Sweet Coastal Home

A few pictures of my coastal home to celebrate the end of a huge remodeling project.

blue front doorOnce heavily covered with green paint the front entry door now has a fresh new look, reflecting the color of the coastal waterway.

wood dining tableMixed and matched. An old wood table that my husband made from a church bench pew, armless tulip chairs and a playful chandelier found at Ikea.

antique wood oarsThis pair of antique oars was supposed to go on a wall but since I am still unsure on how to actually arrange and hang them they're posing in this corner.

claw foot bath tubI could not have imagined any other tub for this old Dutch Colonial home than a claw foot one, and it's very comfortable too.

orange wallsA peak into the orange room, a mixed use space that I painted and decorated in the colors I found in local Quahog shells.

bedroom with water viewThe Blue Decorating theme of the master bedroom was inspired by the ocean painting you see.
