Once heavily covered with green paint the front entry door now has a fresh new look, reflecting the color of the coastal waterway.
Mixed and matched..., an old wood table that my husband made from a church bench pew (featured @ Apartment Therapy), armless tulip chairs and a playful chandelier found at Ikea.
This pair of Antique Oars was supposed to go on a wall but since I am still unsure on how to actually arrange and hang them they're posing in this corner.
I could not have imagined any other tub for this old Dutch Colonial home than a clawfoot one, and it's very comfortable too.
A peak into the orange room, a mixed use space that I painted and decorated in the colors I found in local Quahog shells.
The Blue Decorating theme of the master bedroom was inspired by the ocean painting you see.

Fantastic Home! You've done a lovely job. And what a place to be. Right on the ocean. :)
Thank you.
What a fun tour! You have some really fun decorating ideas. I especially like your light fixture over the dining table.

Beautiful! The tub is perfect. What is the orange paint color? My husband and I are thinking of orange for our living room, but we don't want it to come out looking like makeup. I like the shade you chose.
Beautiful!! Love the oars and I LOVE that orange room! Your home is beautiful!
Thank you all for stopping by and leaving comments! Mary, the orange paint color is:
Behr 250D-4 Autumn Mist Flat (Home Depot).
Oh pretty home and that view!!!
You have a beautiful home. It's very calming - as I bet that lovely tub is! Thank you for sharing it!
I really love your style. This is the kind of home I'd love to have. The front door looks great--you did such a good job with it that it looks new (but old--you know what I mean).
The oars are very cool, and I like the tub a lot. Thanks for joining the blog party and inviting us into your beautiful home! :-)
Hi Maya :)
Thank you so much for your comment. You are a woman after my own heart taking on that house. I've been on a mission to get an old beauty myself, but it just doesn't seem to be happening for us at the moment. You've done a beautiful job!
I think the counters are something other than butcher block, but if it was mine that would be my choice :)

What a lovely home you have! Home renovating takes forever... but everything looks like it is really starting to come together. Can't wait to see more!
Thanks for the tour!

I love your style! I always wanted a "coastal" feeling home. We're just missing the water view!
That bathtub is to die for. And the chandelier? It's perfect. Thanks for letting me peak.
What beautiful colors! Even more, though, I loved how you picked the different colors for specific reasons. No bathtub for us in Berlin, but wow! What a dream your tub is. Did you restore an old tub or is it a new one? It looks so beautiful. I need to go see some more of the "during" pictures...
Katie
WOW what a view!!! The bathtub is wonderful!
Love your view! Your home is really beautiful. thanks so much for sharing.
Maya, I love your house! The front door really caught my eye as well as the simple, yet pretty decor you've chosen. And that view...oh my, that view is to die for!
Oh, my, my, my!!
"An old wood table that my husband made from a church bench pew..." LOVE that! The colors you have chosen for your home are right up my alley. I am so in love with your home, Maya. Great work!!

Right. I'm sorry. I think I'm dreaming! I accidentally landed on this wonderful post and I need to know more!!!
Maya,
Do you live near Riverside Drive ( Tiverton)? My SIL lives in a condo there and her view seems very similar.

I long for a tub like that, please tell me that you lounge in it for hours so that I can live vicariously through you!
Kat :)
