Antique Oars

Upstairs there is a large wall where I always imagined to hang two weathered antique oars. And I also imagined to find them one day at the local shipyard for free. Then I saw this pair at a local antique shop for $35, not exactly free, but close enough.
You can check out where the two antique oars ended up at My Sweet Coastal Home.

How great! We have a pair but have them leaning up against the wall. I've always envisioned hanging them, too, but haven't settled on exactly where...and how :)

That's exactly what happened with our oars too. We know which wall but don't know yet how to hang them, parallel, crossed or random? So they're standing in a corner for now.

Very cool - are you a paddler at all?

Not a paddler, but I'm entertaining canoeing for next season. I used to windsurf on lakes in Switzerland, now I guess I'm more of a (beach) walker!

Ooo I'm desperate for some antique oars. Can you believe I live in Florida and still haven't come across any?
